Restaurant Host

About the role

The Host provides professional and gracious support to restaurant guests, managing reservations, seating, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests, offering information about the area.
• Manage fair and consistent seating of guests.
• Accurately handle paperwork, stock, and maintain the host stand.
• Receive and record reservations by phone or in person.
• Assist with room service orders and carry‑out packaging when needed.
• Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness.
• Support servers by refilling beverages and bussing tables as required.
• Provide guests with requested information and handle additional service requests.

Required profile

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Flexible schedule; availability evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler Certification (if applicable).

Required skills

• Proficiency with restaurant point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Experience using reservation management systems.
