Project Engineer - Substations

About the role

Vulcain Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer specialized in high‑voltage substations. You will lead the definition and preparation of substation projects, covering primary equipment, auxiliary systems, and power distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies for substation projects.
• Define the technical scope for high‑voltage equipment and utility systems.
• Draft technical specifications and functional requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates and project timelines.
• Collaborate with internal experts and external engineering firms.
• Ensure integration of low‑voltage power systems (400 VAC / 110 VDC).
• Consolidate engineering deliverables for project handover.
• Support technical alignment during the execution phase.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Electrical, Electromechanical or Energy Engineering.
• Experience with substation design and high‑voltage equipment.
• Knowledge of auxiliary systems and low‑voltage distribution.
• Strong technical writing and coordination abilities.
• Structured, detail‑oriented mindset.
