PCB Design Engineer

About the role

Thales is looking for a PCB Design Engineer to join its Tubize site in Belgium. You will work on the layout of high‑frequency and RF printed circuit assemblies for next‑generation tactical products, ensuring manufacturability, reliability and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed layouts of complex PCBs and associated mechanical parts.
• Review completed wiring board layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate closely with circuit designers to optimise power consumption and area.
• Develop and validate layouts using DRC, LVS, DFM, EM and IR checks.
• Manage layout tasks autonomously according to project planning and provide feedback to project leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in PCB layout design.
• Fluency in French, Dutch or English.
• Strong understanding of analog HF/RF circuits and fabrication constraints.

Required skills

• Full‑custom PCB layout design.
• Proficiency with Cadence or similar layout tools.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC constraints.
• Experience with DRC, LVS, DFM, EM and IR validation.
