New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated NPI Engineer to support the industrialisation of new products at our Leuven office. You will work closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain and external suppliers to ensure a smooth transfer from development to stable, high‑quality mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Support the transfer of new products from R&D to manufacturing, from prototype builds to mass production.
• Participate in design reviews to apply Design for Assembly and Design for Repair principles.
• Assist in defining manufacturing processes, assembly flows and required documentation.
• Monitor production performance (quality, yield) and analyse issues to identify root causes.
• Support corrective actions and follow‑up on issues detected in mass production.
• Drive continuous improvement actions in serial production.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and suppliers.
• Participate in supplier selection audits and technical discussions when needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or similar).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel one week outside Europe every three months.
• Interest in production environments and hands‑on engineering work.
• Understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and quality principles.
• Structured, analytical mindset with strong willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; methodical, detail‑oriented and proactive.
