Methods Engineer

About the role

IKOS, a leading European consulting firm in railway engineering, is expanding its Belgian operations and seeks a Methods Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes and supporting the industrialization of new railway products, contributing to sustainable and safe transportation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes focusing on quality, cost, and lead time.
• Support new product industrialization within certified environments.
• Define work instructions and production standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Production, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Proven experience with technical documentation.
• Familiarity with Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and ERP systems.
• Experience with CAD tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Inventor and PLM tools like ENOVIA.
• Fluent in French and proficient in technical English.
• Proactive, autonomous, and well‑organized.
