About the role
IKOS, a leading European consulting firm in railway engineering, is expanding its Belgian operations and seeks a Methods Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes and supporting the industrialization of new railway products, contributing to sustainable and safe transportation solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Optimize manufacturing processes focusing on quality, cost, and lead time.
- Support new product industrialization within certified environments.
- Define work instructions and production standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Production, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Proven experience with technical documentation.
- Familiarity with Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and ERP systems.
- Experience with CAD tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Inventor and PLM tools like ENOVIA.
- Fluent in French and proficient in technical English.
- Proactive, autonomous, and well‑organized.
