Lead OpenShift Architect – Administration

About the role

We are seeking a Lead OpenShift Architect to design, implement and maintain a resilient Red Hat OpenShift container platform for our Brussels client. The role involves end‑to‑end architecture on bare‑metal and virtual environments across public and private clouds, ensuring high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect a highly available OpenShift Container Platform on bare‑metal servers and virtual machines.
• Configure compute, network, load balancer, storage, DNS, DHCP and SSL/TLS as per customer requirements.
• Prepare high‑level and low‑level design documentation following secure‑by‑design principles.
• Implement disaster‑recovery solutions and set up the full OpenShift ecosystem of tools.
• Install OpenShift using UPI or IPI methods, including air‑gapped deployments.
• Manage platform upgrades, patches and internal container registry configuration.
• Assist application and DevOps teams in onboarding cloud‑native workloads, providing troubleshooting and RCA for P1/P2 incidents.
• Integrate identity providers, configure RBAC, and establish monitoring, logging and observability for the platform.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating Red Hat OpenShift in complex, multi‑cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, storage and security concepts.
• Ability to produce detailed design and implementation documentation.
• Experience working in shift‑based support models and coordinating with Red Hat support for critical issues.
