Junior HR Officer

About the role

NIQ, a leading global data and insight consultancy, is seeking a Junior HR Officer to support its growing HR function. You will act as the first point of contact for employee queries, ensuring a smooth and professional employee experience across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and related databases.
• Provide day‑to‑day administration for time and absence management.
• Handle pre‑boarding tasks including contracts, right‑to‑work checks, benefits enrolment and system introductions.
• Support managers with probation review reminders and related documentation.
• Process off‑boarding activities, ensuring accurate updates across systems, benefits portals and payroll trackers.
• Collaborate with payroll to communicate amendments and ensure timely processing.
• Respond to general HR queries, directing complex issues to the appropriate HR Business Partner.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and current legislation.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of operational or administrative HR experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS).
• Experience with payroll administration processes.
• Data management and electronic filing capabilities.
