Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

The Health & Safety Advisor will act as the principal occupational health and safety administrator for the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) base location, while also supporting additional sites. You will provide expert advice to project teams and staff, ensuring compliance with host‑nation regulations and NATO standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for health and safety compliance across the base and satellite locations.
• Provide day‑to‑day advice to project managers and staff on occupational health and safety matters.
• Draft, implement, and maintain OHS procedures aligned with ISO 45001.
• Monitor host‑nation regulatory requirements and ensure they are integrated into agency practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.

Required profile

• Proven experience acting as a health and safety administrator or advisor in a complex, multi‑site environment.
• Strong knowledge of host‑nation health and safety legislation and NATO operational contexts.
• Ability to develop and maintain procedures that meet ISO 45001 standards.
