Head of Portfolio Acceleration

About the role

Green Flag Ventures is creating a dedicated European function to accelerate its portfolio companies. As Head of Portfolio Acceleration you will be the primary point of contact for founders, helping them navigate market access, regulatory pathways, and growth challenges across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Open doors with European Ministries of Defence, prime contractors, and channel partners to secure procurement opportunities.
• Support portfolio companies on European go‑to‑market strategy, pricing, regulatory compliance (EU dual‑use export, NATO certification, national security review) and senior hiring.
• Translate market signals into investment theses and guide GFV’s European investment selection.
• Represent GFV at European defence forums and build relationships with defence‑focused investors and policy makers.
• Develop co‑investment partnerships with private, government and hybrid European funds for syndicate and follow‑on rounds.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in European defence procurement, MoD or NATO infrastructure, or scaling defence/dual‑use companies.
• Proven commercial track record with full‑cycle contract pitching and closing; P&L or quota‑carrying experience preferred.
• Comfortable operating in a venture‑backed environment without heavy corporate processes.
• Based in Western Europe and willing to travel ~30% across Europe and to Kyiv.
