General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Krones FBL, a subsidiary of the global Krones Group, is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to ensure accurate and compliant financial processes for its French and Belgian subsidiaries. The role is based at the Louvain-la-Neuve head office with the possibility of remote work after an initial training period.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of the general ledger in line with Belgian and French GAAP, IFRS, and internal group policies.
• Collect data from various departments to execute monthly closings for two subsidiaries and support two additional entities.
• Review accounting entries from CO, AP, AR and perform reconciliations, adjustments, reporting, and reclassifications as needed.
• Prepare intercompany re‑invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting for the group.
• Handle statutory documentation, including general assemblies, administrator nominations, and auditor appointments.
• Conduct balance‑sheet analyses, support group reporting, and manage VAT declarations and tax‑return elements.
• Participate actively in internal compliance audits and external statutory audits.
• Contribute to the standardisation and automation of accounting processes and systems.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in end‑to‑end General Ledger accounting, including postings, accruals, reconciliations, and month‑end closing.
• Solid knowledge of Belgian GAAP and a good understanding of IFRS.
• Proven experience supporting month‑end closing, VAT compliance, and audit activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and subsidiaries.
