Functional & Technical Analyst

About the role

Capco, a global business and technology consultancy for financial services, is hiring a Functional & Technical Analyst in its technology consulting team in Brussels. You will work with solution architects, engineers, analysts and delivery specialists on complex systems, helping clients evolve applications and integrations that must stay reliable as their technology landscape changes.

Key responsibilities

• Map end-to-end application flows and the dependencies between services, databases, interfaces and platforms
• Analyse and specify API integrations, including contracts, request/response structures, data mapping and error handling
• Turn functional needs into technical specifications, diagrams, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Assess solution options with architects and engineers, identify integration constraints and technical risks
• Investigate data and system behaviour using SQL, API tools and application documentation
• Support integration and end-to-end testing, prepare test scenarios and data, and help resolve defects
• Analyse production incidents, find root causes and coordinate fixes with development and support teams
• Maintain documentation of architecture, interface behaviour and changes, and validate designs with business stakeholders

Required profile

• Experience in technical analysis, solution analysis or software engineering, translating functional requirements into technical designs
• Proven experience with APIs and system integration
• Experience supporting integration testing, defect analysis and production issue resolution
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and collaboration with architects, developers, testers and business stakeholders
• Professional proficiency in Dutch or French and English, spoken and written
• Banking or regulated-sector experience and exposure to modern and legacy platforms is valuable
