Engineering Manager - Learn Product

About the role

DataCamp is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the teams behind the systems that power its learning platform. You will partner closely with Product and Design to shape your team's direction and drive execution, leading a cross-functional product engineering team that takes large, ambiguous projects from idea to impact with real autonomy. The team uses agentic coding tools, LLMs and AI APIs, and the manager is expected to be hands-on with them.

Key responsibilities

• Build and develop a high-performing full-stack team and foster a culture of ownership, urgency and accountability.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of high-quality software, balancing speed with long-term code and platform health.
• Raise the bar for agentic tooling so the team prototypes faster and ships higher-quality code.
• Partner with Product and Design to define and execute the roadmap, using data, metrics and user feedback.
• Lead technical decisions and architecture for scalability, reliability and maintainability, including for LLM-powered services, and champion testing, observability and code quality.

Required profile

• 7+ years building software across the stack, with a clear grasp of scalable system design, modern API design and software lifecycle best practices; experience with the company's stack is a strong plus.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams and seeing people grow under your guidance.
• Strong communicator who builds trust across Product, Design and Data.
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-velocity environments, with proven ability to deliver software in cross-functional product teams.
• AI-native: uses agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex, with a credible view on integrating them into a team's workflow.
