Financial Controller – Business Partner & Workforce Planning

About the role

The Financial Controller will act as a trusted business partner, delivering financial leadership, workforce planning support, and commercial insight to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence for a global organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead headcount planning and workforce strategy across a large employee population, aligning demand and capacity with business objectives.
• Partner with operational and business leaders to support growth plans, portfolio decisions, and strategic initiatives.
• Provide financial oversight for business units, enabling leaders to understand and manage their own financial performance.
• Deliver commercial analysis and insight to support decision‑making and resource allocation.
• Support intentional and sustainable organisational scaling aligned to business priorities.
• Build strong relationships with finance, operations, and leadership stakeholders.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and strategic support as required.

Required profile

• Qualified finance professional with experience in Financial Control, FP&A, Business Partnering, or a related commercial finance role.
• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, biotechnology, or R&D sectors is highly desirable.
• Strong background in workforce planning, headcount strategy, and financial planning.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate financial data into actionable business insights.
