Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Accountant to join Clinigen’s finance team in Brussels. The role supports the company’s Belgian operations, handling management accounting, month‑end and year‑end close, and providing financial insight to help deliver life‑saving medicines worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform month‑end activities for all management accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in line with local accounting standards.
• Process and authorise financial transactions according to approved procedures.
• Prepare tax declarations, including VAT, Intrastat and corporate tax, and support tax‑subsidy initiatives.
• Provide monthly margin and expenditure briefings to business units.
• Collaborate with the global finance team to maintain high standards of financial operations.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a similar finance/accounting environment.
• Knowledge of in‑house finance processes, IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Strong analytical mindset with commercial focus.
• Fluent English and basic German.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Understanding of IFRS.
