European Ecotourism Market Outreach Consultant

About the role

Leaders International is looking for an experienced sustainable‑tourism professional to lead a 12‑week remote market outreach project. The consultant will map the European tour‑operator landscape, conduct structured B2B outreach, and produce a market‑sounding report to support new ecotourism offerings in Jordan’s Eastern Badia region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a longlist of 30‑50 European operators focused on sustainable, adventure or cultural tourism in the Middle East.
• Screen and shortlist 15‑20 priority operators based on fit, sustainability credentials and decision‑maker accessibility.
• Create a concise destination brief, outreach script and core messaging framework.
• Execute direct outreach (email, LinkedIn, phone) and hold 15‑30‑minute interviews to assess interest and identify barriers.
• Maintain a real‑time outreach tracker and flag high‑interest operators for potential familiarisation trips.
• Analyse interview data, identify patterns and produce a 10‑15‑page market‑sounding report with actionable recommendations.
• Present findings in an online debrief with the Leaders International team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainable tourism, ecotourism or related market research.
• Established network of European tour operators and proven B2B outreach capability.
• Strong analytical skills to synthesize interview data into clear recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
