Electrical & Instrumentation Designer

About the role

You will review project data after completion, prepare accurate as‑built drawings and support small‑scale projects while always considering safety, ergonomics, practical feasibility and cost. The position works closely with colleagues from piping, civil engineering and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and check project data, ensuring proper archiving.
• Prepare detailed as‑built drawings and documentation based on project information and operator feedback.
• Assist with the execution of smaller projects, paying attention to ergonomics, safety and budget.
• Communicate with technical colleagues from various disciplines involved in the projects.
• Use specialized software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, SEE Electrical Expert, Eplan or similar to design electrical schematics and documentation.

Required profile

• Experience with AutoCAD 2D/3D, Microstation and creation or processing of as‑built documentation.
• Technical secondary education in electricity/electronics/electromechanics with at least 5 years experience, or a bachelor’s/associate degree with 3 years experience.
• Strong knowledge of low‑voltage distribution, instrumentation circuits, pneumatics and relevant standards (e.g., AREI).
• Ability to read and create electrical and instrumentation diagrams.
• Familiarity with PLC automation (e.g., Allen‑Bradley) is a plus.
• Fluent in French with good Dutch, or Dutch with good French.
• Proficiency with Windows 10 and Office 365.
