Manufacturing Engineer I (Surface Treatment)

About the role

Your main mission as a Manufacturing Engineer is to ensure the industrialisation of aerospace products and to implement the associated manufacturing processes, with a focus on surface‑treatment lines.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in new product development, optimise part design and select suitable manufacturing processes.
• Implement manufacturing processes in SAP (routings, documentation, control sheets) and define tooling requirements.
• Study and improve workstations for ergonomics, layout and safety, and validate series‑production parameters.
• Execute PFMEA, propose equipment testing improvements and manage corrective actions.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives using statistical process control (SPC) and support investment projects for technical innovations.
• Prepare quotations for new tenders and ensure compliance with EN9100 and ISO 14001 standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer, preferably in the aerospace sector.
• Strong analytical, data‑driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple objectives.
• Fluent communication in French and/or Dutch.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) and SAP routings.
• Industrial programming and control of automated production equipment.
• CAD tools – CATIA V5, SolidWorks.
• Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint.
• Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
