Developer Portal & Community Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Developer Portal & Community Manager to lead the documentation and community experience for a highly technical open‑hardware product. Based in Belgium, you will own the public developer portal, turn internal engineering work into clear documentation, and act as the bridge between engineers and the global developer community.

Key responsibilities

• Own, structure and continuously improve the Developer Portal, ensuring it remains accurate and useful.
• Translate internal engineering discussions, technical updates and product changes into public documentation, guides and wiki pages.
• Maintain and organize GitHub repositories, wiki pages and other developer‑facing resources across multiple sub‑projects.
• Participate in engineering meetings to stay aligned with development direction.
• Moderate community contributions, issues and pull requests, ensuring quality and constructive collaboration.
• Collect feedback from developers and relay insights back to internal teams.

Required profile

• Excellent written communication with a proven track record of producing clear technical documentation.
• Strong ability to break down complex technical concepts into simple, structured explanations.
• Comfortable working closely with hardware and software engineers and engaging in technical conversations.
• Organizational mindset focused on information architecture and clarity.
• Genuine interest in open‑source ecosystems, developer tools and transparent development culture.
