Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Architect

About the role

As a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Architect you will lead the technical design and delivery of complex cloud and hybrid transformation programmes for enterprise clients, acting as an architectural authority and trusted advisor to C‑level stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Define, design and document enterprise‑grade cloud and hybrid architectures across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Develop cloud architecture strategies, governance standards and compliance frameworks.
• Drive multi‑cloud adoption, oversee PaaS platforms and containerised workloads at scale.
• Establish IaC patterns, CI/CD blueprints and DevSecOps automation standards.
• Model total cost of ownership, promote FinOps‑aligned designs and cost‑optimisation.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level architects and contribute to practice capability development.
• Participate in business development: opportunity qualification, solution shaping and proposal writing.

Required profile

• Fluency in English and French and/or Dutch; ability to work in an international, multicultural environment.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and engaging with C‑level executives.
• Consulting background in managed services or systems integration, preferably with exposure to edge computing, industrial IoT or 5G.
• Citizenship of a NATO member country and eligibility to work in Belgium.

Required skills

• Multi‑cloud architecture expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP) and large‑scale hybrid deployments.
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Pulumi.
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE), Helm, service meshes (Istio, Linkerd).
• Advanced networking: SD‑WAN, BGP, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, Zero Trust, SASE.
• Cloud security: IAM, encryption, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, NIS2 compliance.
• CI/CD, DevSecOps and FinOps practices at enterprise scale.
• Generative AI and LLM infrastructure knowledge (GPU clusters, vector databases, inference optimisation).
• Platform engineering tools such as Backstage and internal developer platforms.
