Data Solution Architect

About the role

Craftzing is seeking a Data Solution Architect who will bridge business ambition and technical reality. You will translate stakeholder goals into end‑to‑end data solution designs and ensure they are vendor‑agnostic and aligned with client interests.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand goals, challenges and constraints.
• Translate functional requirements into clear, end‑to‑end data architecture schemas.
• Refine designs with data and application specialists into concrete, plannable work.
• Evaluate build‑vs‑buy options, conduct market assessments and select appropriate data platforms.
• Document architecture decisions balancing scalability, security, performance, cost and data quality.
• Design API‑driven integration approaches across applications, services and third‑party systems.
• Ensure non‑functional requirements and data governance are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture, with a proven record as a data or technical architect.
• Vendor‑agnostic mindset with broad familiarity across data platforms, lakes, cloud providers and warehouses.
• Ability to think strategically, weigh build‑vs‑buy decisions and run market evaluations.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical topics to C‑level stakeholders.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
