Data Architect

About the role

Infogene Belgium is seeking a Data Architect to design and implement modern, scalable data architectures that empower analytics, business intelligence, AI, and digital transformation across Energy, Life Sciences, and Industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Design and define secure, future‑proof data architectures aligned with business and technology goals.
• Define enterprise data models, integration patterns, and governance principles for complex data ecosystems.
• Lead the implementation of cloud and hybrid data platforms, including data warehouses, lakehouses, and cloud data services.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Solution Architects, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to ensure architectural consistency.
• Establish standards and best practices for data management, quality, security, and governance.
• Drive adoption of modern data technologies such as Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Identify opportunities to optimise data flows, storage solutions, and overall platform performance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data projects.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise‑scale data platforms in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑native architectures, data governance frameworks, and integration patterns.
• Professional proficiency in English; French and/or Dutch are a plus.
