Content Moderation Specialist (SA) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Content Moderation Specialist (SA) to join a fast‑growing digital platform. Based in Belgium and working fully remotely, you will help maintain a safe, compliant and trustworthy online environment by reviewing user‑generated content.

Key responsibilities

• Review user‑generated content and ensure it complies with internal guidelines, safety standards and legal requirements.
• Identify, flag and report content that violates policies, including harmful, misleading or inappropriate material.
• Apply moderation rules consistently while meeting productivity and quality targets.
• Escalate complex, sensitive or ambiguous cases to senior moderators or policy teams.
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive user data.
• Provide feedback to improve moderation processes.

Required profile

• 6 months to 1 year experience in trust & safety, compliance, moderation or a similar role (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate sensitive content objectively.
• Basic understanding of content moderation workflows, tools and community guidelines.
• Awareness of cultural context and its impact on online content.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to document decisions clearly and consistently.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, policy‑driven environment.
