Backend Engineer

About the role

Join Showpad’s newly formed AI‑powered platform to reshape how global sales and marketing teams manage content at scale. As a mid‑level Backend Engineer you will own the full lifecycle of cloud‑native features, from design through deployment and monitoring, while working in a hybrid setting (2 days onsite).

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, cloud‑native solutions for high‑velocity content distribution.
• Own feature development end‑to‑end, including requirement gathering, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Conduct deep‑dive code reviews, mentor peers, and ensure a robust, testable codebase.
• Tackle complex challenges in cloud architecture, database optimization, and messaging systems.
• Contribute ideas to improve the technology stack in an agile, iterative environment.

Required profile

• Mid‑level engineer ready to move from task execution to owning larger system components.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a “test‑first” approach.
• Ability to navigate and improve complex architectures for resilience and efficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language: Node.js, TypeScript, Go, or Python.
• Experience building on AWS or similar cloud providers, with microservices or serverless patterns.
• Familiarity with PHP for legacy codebases (optional).
