Back End Developer – Node.js, TypeScript, Kubernetes

About the role

NOWJOBS is building a fully digital staffing platform for flexi‑workers and students across the EU. As a Back End Developer you will help shape the core services that power the matching engine, API layer and event‑driven architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse functional requirements and design technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code using Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL and MongoDB.
• Implement and maintain RabbitMQ‑based event flows.
• Contribute to Kubernetes deployments and, optionally, Azure infrastructure as code.
• Develop automated tests and ensure code quality through reviews.
• Collaborate daily with designers, product owners and other backend engineers in a Scrum team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with the listed technologies.
• Strong ability to design and improve software frameworks.
• Fluent English communication skills.
