Automation Software Engineer

About the role

Join the Engineering & Supply Chain team at IBA and work across Industrial Solutions, Proton‑Therapy and RadioPharma units. You will design and implement software that supports cutting‑edge cancer treatment technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions based on specifications from architects and product owners.
• Develop high‑quality, maintainable code following IBA standards.
• Collaborate closely with automation engineers, understanding their constraints and workflows.
• Improve software libraries, tools, development environment and engineering practices.
• Manage releases of automation‑related software solutions.
• Liaise with the Digital Solution department for platforms, tools and environment requirements.
• Participate in cybersecurity activities related to automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of practical software development experience.
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication in English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Python (mandatory).
• C# (C Sharp) – advantageous.
