About the role
The European External Action Service is seeking an Administrative Agent to join its Sanctions Division at the EEAS Headquarters in Brussels. The position is a contract agent FGII role, starting immediately, supporting the development and implementation of EU sanctions regimes.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and contribute to the design of EU sanctions measures.
- Prepare and take part in discussions and negotiations on sanctions within Council working groups.
- Drive the adoption and periodic review of the 48 existing EU sanctions regimes.
- Develop sanctions policy and support the preparation of listings proposals.
- Coordinate with like‑minded third‑countries and relevant EU institutions.
- Promote a better understanding of sanctions both inside EU bodies and externally.
Required profile
- Eligibility for a contract agent FGII position under Article 3b of the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Union.
- Strong administrative background with the ability to work in a multilingual, diplomatic environment.
