About the role
The European External Action Service (EEAS) is seeking an Administrative Agent to join its Sanctions Division at the headquarters in Brussels. The position starts immediately and is contracted under article 3b of the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Union.
Key responsibilities
- Support the design, adoption, and review of the EU's 48 sanctions regimes.
- Prepare and participate in Council working‑group discussions and negotiations on sanctions.
- Develop sanctions policy and assist in the preparation of listing proposals.
- Coordinate with like‑minded third‑countries and internal EEAS services, the Council, and the Commission.
- Promote understanding of sanctions both within EU institutions and externally.
Required profile
- Eligibility under article 3b of the CEOS for a Contract Agent FGII.
- Immediate availability for a position based in Brussels.
- Strong knowledge of EU sanctions mechanisms and related policy processes.
