Accountant – Sport Sector – Brussels

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accountant to join a well‑established international company operating in the sport sector. The role is based in Brussels and involves handling the full spectrum of accounting activities while supporting the finance team in delivering accurate financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general accounting tasks
• Execute monthly, quarterly and year‑end closings
• Review and control the balance sheet
• Prepare and file the annual accounts (NBB)
• Submit periodic VAT returns
• Prepare corporate income tax filings
• Act as point of contact for audit matters
• Produce monthly financial reports
• Identify and implement process optimisation and automation initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general accounting
• Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with good command of English
• Excellent command of Excel
• Analytical mindset
• Team player with good communication skills
