Accountant – Hybrid (Antwerp)

About the role

FiuTech is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its finance team in Antwerp. The position is hybrid, allowing you to work both from the office and remotely while supporting day‑to‑day financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank statements.
• Prepare periodic financial statements and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Belgian tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in core accounting activities, including ledger management and financial statement preparation.
• Ability to work accurately with financial data, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities in a hybrid environment.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and reconciliation.
