Academic Lead for Future Students – School of Music & Performing Arts

About the role

The Academic Lead for Future Students will drive recruitment, admissions and communications for the School of Music and Performing Arts, ensuring the growth and vitality of the school’s creative programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment strategies.
• Increase application numbers, conversion rates and equitable access for prospective students.
• Champion the school’s external profile through compelling communications across all channels.
• Provide line management and leadership within a designated area, supporting staff development.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the school as a member of the Leadership Team.
• Maintain an active teaching and scholarly profile to bring academic credibility.

Required profile

• Good first degree in a relevant discipline.
• Significant experience in higher education recruitment, admissions or marketing.
• Proven ability to analyse data and use insights for strategic decisions.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
• Understanding of the creative industries, particularly music, performance and production.
