VAT Compliance Consultant

About the role

Ryan is looking for a VAT Compliance Consultant to join its Brussels-based indirect tax team. This is an entry-level position for recent graduates who want to build long-term expertise in VAT, working in a close-knit team alongside senior specialists and partners, following a structured methodology that supports continuous learning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review VAT returns under supervision for Belgian and international clients
• Analyse accounting data to ensure VAT compliance
• Support VAT registrations and compliance processes
• Assist in responding to information requests from tax authorities
• Monitor VAT legislative developments with guidance from senior team members
• Apply and progressively master the internal VAT methodology
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and technical development

Required profile

• Master's degree in Tax Law, Law, Business, Economics or a related field
• Recent graduate or early-career professional with experience in tax or VAT
• Strong interest in developing long-term VAT expertise
• Structured, detail-oriented and able to manage deadlines and maintain quality under pressure
• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a strong asset
• Based in or willing to work from Brussels

• Comfortable with Microsoft Office
• Experience with VAT or reporting tools is a plus
