Technical Services Team Leader - Laboratory Equipment

About the role
This site‑based leadership position focuses on the service, maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation. You will guide a team of technicians and engineers to ensure reliable operation of critical lab equipment in a regulated environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team responsible for maintenance, calibration, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and repair of laboratory instruments.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programmes, troubleshooting, fault finding and corrective actions.
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues across analytical and laboratory equipment.
- Manage vendors and third‑party service providers for instrumentation and spare parts.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP and other quality standards.
- Coordinate service schedules, upgrades, installations and commissioning activities.
- Track KPIs, service performance and reporting (SLA, uptime, compliance metrics).
- Coach and develop service engineers, calibration technicians and metrology specialists.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing technical or service teams.
- Strong background in on‑site or field service maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Experience handling vendor contracts and external engineering support.
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
