Global Procurement Director

About the role

As the Global Procurement Director, you will lead the development and execution of category strategies for core materials and key equipment across Cartamundi’s worldwide operations. Your focus will be on optimizing total cost of ownership and delivering sustainable business value through strategic sourcing and supplier excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Define and roll out global category strategies aligned with broader business objectives.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives and negotiations, emphasizing long‑term value creation.
• Partner with internal stakeholders early in strategic projects to ensure alignment.
• Build and manage a high‑performing supplier ecosystem across multiple entities.
• Monitor market developments, supplier capabilities and technological trends.
• Oversee supplier onboarding, including quality validation and financial assessments.
• Own contract management and ensure compliance with procurement processes.
• Drive knowledge sharing, standardisation and continuous improvement across entities.
• Identify synergies and collaboration opportunities throughout the organisation.
• Address supply and quality challenges proactively using data‑driven analysis.

Required profile

• Strategic thinker with a hands‑on mindset and passion for procurement excellence.
• Proven ability to navigate complex environments and influence stakeholders.
• 10–15 years of procurement experience with strong exposure to strategic category management.
