System Engineer – IT Infrastructure

About the role
Gaming1, an international leader in land‑based and online gaming, is looking for a System Engineer to join its IT department. You will act as a hands‑on technical authority ensuring the infrastructure across corporate and retail environments remains robust, secure and future‑ready.
Key responsibilities
- Act as technical owner of core infrastructure components, ensuring availability, performance and reliability across corporate and retail environments.
- Enforce security baselines, apply system hardening and embed cybersecurity best practices into daily operations.
- Manage lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patches and replacements, monitor system health and proactively prevent incidents.
- Provide 3rd‑level support, lead root‑cause analyses and implement long‑term corrective actions.
- Automate repetitive tasks through scripting and continuously improve infrastructure efficiency and resilience.
Required profile
- Hands‑on attitude, enjoys working directly with systems and solving complex infrastructure issues end‑to‑end.
- Security‑first mindset, integrates hardening and risk assessment into engineering work.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, stays calm under pressure and diagnoses complex incidents.
- Willingness to mentor less‑experienced engineers and raise the overall technical bar.
- Commitment to rigor, documentation, standards and operational excellence.
- Proficient in English (minimum B2 level) for clear technical communication.
