System Administrator – Mid to Senior Level

About the role

As a System Administrator (Medior – Senior) you will be responsible for managing ICT system components that support hosting services across our European operations. You will install, configure, upgrade and maintain both Windows and Linux server environments while ensuring continuous, secure and high‑performance service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and upgrade ICT systems, including monitoring and management solutions.
• Oversee daily operations of data‑center infrastructure such as servers, blade enclosures, UPS, patch panels, tape libraries and cabling.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software and system issues.
• Monitor system performance, proactively identify operational problems and implement fixes.
• Plan, test and execute system upgrades and maintenance with minimal business disruption.
• Maintain availability, security and integrity of ICT systems in line with organisational policies.
• Document system configurations, procedures and operational records accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on infrastructure projects and service improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience for a Medior role or 6 years for a Senior role.
• Strong knowledge of data‑center hardware and operations.
• Proven experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Familiarity with network storage technologies (SAN, NAS, NetApp, EMC).
• Understanding of enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with hardware installation, racking, cabling and connectivity.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
• Preferred certifications: SolarWinds Certified Professional, Microsoft MCSE/MCSA, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate.
