System Administrator

About the role

This remote System Administrator position supports a global workforce from Belgium. The role combines hands‑on technical support, infrastructure management and process improvement to keep systems reliable, secure and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support across Windows, macOS and Linux environments.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot workstations, software, peripherals and other IT equipment.
• Manage tickets and prioritize requests using Jira or similar systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity and network issues.
• Handle device lifecycle tasks: inventory, deployment, maintenance and replacement.
• Configure and maintain security solutions such as VPN, antivirus, MDM, backup systems, firewalls and monitoring tools.
• Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and security standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures and knowledge bases.
• Support network administration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs) and contribute to automation and scripting initiatives.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a comparable technical support role.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN).
• Proactive problem‑solver with strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience using ticketing systems and maintaining clear documentation.
