Software Engineer – Public Sector

About the role

CGI is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join its Public Sector team in Belgium. You will help design, develop, and maintain socially relevant systems that impact millions of users while working with the latest technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts.
• Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications.
• Integrate third‑party software components and programs.
• Verify, deploy, and maintain applications and systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Collect and evaluate user feedback to drive improvements.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Native French or Dutch speaker with strong English communication skills.
