Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Moody's is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable, cloud‑native solutions that power critical financial data platforms. You will work in a collaborative environment that values innovation, AI‑enabled capabilities, and high‑impact software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, resilient cloud‑native applications using serverless and event‑driven architectures.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Solve complex, ambiguous technical challenges and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and security through testing, code reviews, and engineering standards.
• Mentor teammates, share knowledge, and help improve engineering practices across teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering production‑grade software with end‑to‑end ownership in complex environments.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript for both frontend (React) and backend development.
• Experience building full‑stack solutions, including UI, APIs, and database layers.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native and serverless platforms such as AWS.
• Familiarity with relational (PostgreSQL) and non‑relational databases.
• Demonstrated understanding of AI concepts and responsible AI usage.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
