Software Engineer – Innovation & Cybersecurity

About the role

NVISO Labs is looking for a Software Engineer to drive technical innovation within its cybersecurity portfolio. You will work closely with internal customers and cross‑functional teams to turn cutting‑edge ideas into functional prototypes and secure products.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct exploratory innovation activities, including developing technology prototypes and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Design, write, test, and document software for advanced security tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing systems.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends through continuous learning.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and innovation workshops to address current and future cybersecurity challenges.

Required profile

• Citizenship of a NATO member state.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant software or innovation engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, company‑wide environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with additional programming languages.
• Understanding of fundamental software and infrastructure design principles.
• Experience integrating new technologies into existing systems.
• Strong testing, troubleshooting, and debugging abilities.
• Basic knowledge of secure software design and security best practices.
