Skills Architect

About the role

As a Skills Architect you will lead the design and governance of a global skills taxonomy that underpins bpost’s HR and business processes. You will translate strategic talent needs into a reusable, standards‑based language that supports recruitment, learning, performance, career development and workforce planning across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain and scale an international skills taxonomy aligned with industry standards.
• Define taxonomy standards, quality criteria and validation rules.
• Establish and run governance processes for skills management, including roles, update cycles and change management.
• Facilitate global working groups with HR, business and technology partners.
• Integrate the taxonomy end‑to‑end across ATS, LMS, HCM, performance and talent marketplace systems.
• Develop data models that enable skills reuse across HR platforms.
• Advise HR leaders on skills‑based organisational design and talent strategies.
• Act as internal thought leader and drive change management and communication around skills adoption.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in skills frameworks, HR architecture or related fields.
• Proven expertise in building and governing skills taxonomies or competency frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of end‑to‑end HR processes in a multinational environment.
• Professional proficiency in English, French and Dutch.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
