Site Training Supervisor (Dutch Speaking)

About the role

Lonza is looking for a Site Training Supervisor (Dutch speaking) in Bornem. The role leads the development and continuous improvement of the site's learning and development strategy, manages its implementation and measures its impact. It covers both operational and support departments, with about 500 FTE.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve the site training strategy for operational and support departments.
• Establish and maintain training modules for operational and support functions.
• Coordinate the qualification and requalification of permanent employees in operations and support.
• Validate staff knowledge and skills, carry out a gap analysis and adjust the training programme to raise the organisation's skill level.
• Develop a leadership skills programme for leadership functions at the Bornem site, in collaboration with HR and functional leaders.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc degree in Education & Training, Engineering or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in learning and development.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English.
• Ability to assess training needs, develop a training strategy and implement practical training plans for the site.
• Project management, strategic thinking and strong leadership and team management skills.

Required skills

• Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) such as Cornerstone or a similar platform.
• Ability to explain practical technical tasks or tools to others.
• Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
