Shopify Backend Developer (Senior)

About the role

SQLI is seeking a senior Shopify Backend Developer to own the technical backbone of e‑commerce projects. You will work from our Diegem office, collaborating with sales, delivery, finance and operations teams to deliver high‑impact, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom Shopify apps using Admin API (GraphQL), webhooks, metafields and Shopify Functions.
• Design and implement integrations with ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, MS Dynamics), PIM platforms and POS/kassa systems.
• Build scalable backend services with TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js and frameworks such as NestJS.
• Support mid‑to large‑scale e‑commerce projects, often in headless architectures with multiple integrations.
• Collaborate closely with architects, product owners, business analysts and frontend teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Proven experience building Shopify apps and working with Shopify APIs.
• Comfort with event‑driven architectures, webhooks and asynchronous processing.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to deliver end‑to‑end features.
