Shopify Back-end Developer

About the role

SQLI is seeking a Senior Shopify Back‑end Developer to own the technical backbone of its e‑commerce projects. You will design, build and maintain robust, scalable solutions that integrate Shopify with enterprise systems and support headless architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom Shopify apps using Admin API (GraphQL), webhooks, metafields and Shopify Functions.
• Design and implement integrations with ERP (SAP, Odoo, MS Dynamics), PIM, and POS systems.
• Build scalable backend services with TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js and frameworks such as NestJS.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts and front‑end teams on mid‑to large‑scale e‑commerce projects.
• Ensure performance, reliability and extensibility of headless Shopify solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proven expertise in Shopify APIs, app development and event‑driven architectures.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on practical, maintainable solutions.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership from concept to release.
