Sessional Instructor – Social & Political Issues in Métis Education

About the role
The Gabriel Dumont College seeks a qualified sessional instructor to teach the online course “Social & Political Issues in Métis Education” for the Indigenous Education Doctorate program. The role runs from September 1 to December 22, 2026 and focuses on delivering culturally responsive instruction that explores historical and contemporary Métis challenges in education.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver online instruction for the course.
- Facilitate classroom activities and create an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment.
- Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
Required profile
- Education Doctorate or Ph.D. in Education relevant to the course content.
- Experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum and Indigenous education programs.
- Familiarity with Faculty of Education structures and current Métis education issues.
- Approval by the University of Regina; university teaching experience is an asset.
