Senior Software Developer

About the role

Spektrum is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join its team supporting the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) on the IDATS C2C project. The role will be based in Brussels, Belgium, and will contribute to the development and maintenance of critical communication and information technology solutions for NATO and its partners.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the project kick‑off meeting and be assigned to the IDATS C2C project.
• Review and clarify the project scope, priorities, dependencies and initial backlog.
• Maintain and update the development backlog, providing progress reports, comments, risk identification and issue tracking.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver secure and reliable software components for NATO’s cyber‑security, command and control, satellite communications and electronic warfare services.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a software developer in complex, security‑focused environments.
• Ability to work with international stakeholders and adhere to NATO‑level security standards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Software development lifecycle (SDLC) knowledge.
• Experience with backlog management and agile methodologies.
