Senior .NET Developer (SMARTLINK IoT platform)

About the role

Atlas Copco is expanding its SMARTLINK IoT platform and seeks a Senior .NET Developer to build the cloud‑agnostic, event‑driven backbone that powers millions of connected machines worldwide. You will work on domain models, APIs, events and data structures that remain robust as the fleet grows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud‑native .NET services using domain‑driven design principles.
• Define and version API contracts, ensuring backward compatibility.
• Create and manage Avro event schemas, handling schema evolution and idempotency.
• Model relational data in PostgreSQL and flexible data in JSONB, optimizing for large‑scale queries.
• Containerise services for Kubernetes, develop locally with .NET Aspire, and test against real dependencies using Testcontainers.
• Deploy through Azure DevOps pipelines and instrument services with OpenTelemetry for tracing, metrics and logging.
• Write unit and integration tests alongside production code.

Required profile

• Several years of professional experience building large‑scale backend systems with .NET.
• Strong understanding of domain‑driven design and cloud‑native architectures.
• Experience working in agile, cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to design robust APIs and event‑driven communication.
