Senior Legal Counsel – EMEA

About the role

Reporting to the Legal Director, International Markets, the Senior Legal Counsel will provide strategic legal guidance and commercial partnership to the EMEA leadership team. The role supports business execution, risk management and regional governance while leading ESG‑related legal advice across the International Markets.

Key responsibilities

• Advise business and commercial stakeholders on legal, regulatory and compliance matters affecting the EMEA region.
• Lead day‑to‑day regional legal support, prioritize work, manage risk and coordinate with internal and external counsel.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including customer, distributor and supplier agreements.
• Support RFPs, tenders and strategic opportunities, handling procurement requirements and negotiation strategy.
• Provide legal assistance to QARA on product‑related regulatory, quality and compliance issues.
• Advise on product, sustainability and marketing claims, ESG reporting and related regulatory developments.
• Guide HR on employment law, restructures, investigations and disputes.
• Manage litigation, disputes and investigations, including external counsel oversight.
• Identify recurring legal issues and improve templates, playbooks, processes and training.
• Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to regional strategy and risk management.

Required profile

• Law degree and admission to practice in a relevant jurisdiction.
• Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in corporate, commercial and regulatory law.
• Proven track record advising senior leadership in a multinational environment, preferably within EMEA.
• Deep understanding of ESG regulations, sustainability governance and responsible supply‑chain issues.
• Experience handling employment law matters and complex litigation.
