Legal Counsel

About the role

As a member of the Legal & Compliance Department at Brussels Airlines, you will act as a true business partner, providing pragmatic legal support across the airline and the wider Lufthansa Group. Reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to protect and enable the business while supporting its growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on commercial, contractual, regulatory and aviation‑related matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of national and international contracts.
• Support business teams and strategic projects by balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
• Assist with disputes, claims, investigations and litigation.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance.
• Contribute to the optimisation of legal processes, templates and ways of working.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Brussels Airlines and the Lufthansa Group.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law.
• 3–5 years of experience as a lawyer in a reputable law firm or as in‑house counsel in an international company.
• Experience in aviation, transport, regulated industries or complex commercial environments is a strong asset.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and commercial mindset.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch, French or German is a strong asset.
