Senior Fabrication Supervisor – Offshore Wind

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Senior Fabrication Supervisor to lead coating and related fabrication activities for offshore wind projects at our Smulders yard in Belgium. The role involves ensuring high‑quality delivery, safety compliance, and timely execution while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise coating operations and provide secondary supervision for welding, NDT, assembly, and material logistics.
• Ensure adherence to technical standards and support suppliers to deliver safe, high‑quality products on schedule.
• Conduct inspections and spot checks during weekdays and occasional weekends, with prior approval from the Fabrication Manager.
• Oversee secondary structures such as boat landings and ladders for offshore wind installations.
• Report to Fabrication Managers based in Denmark and coordinate site visits.
• Provide personal protective equipment and use company‑issued laptop and phone for work.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy‑duty/offshore fabrication yards, pre‑assembly, or construction sites.
• Qualifications: Frosio Level III, NACE Level 2‑3, ICORR Painting Inspector Level 3 (VT/NDT certifications are a plus).
• Strong technical aptitude, adaptability, and excellent communication in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Prefer candidates residing near the yard and able to adjust work schedules as needed.
